A white wine, innovative in its flavour and freshness which embraces to the full the versatility of an important species of vine in the Sicilian tradition. Its green hues in a straw-coloured yellow are the promise of an exquisitely long-lasting quality of the scents and perfumes of nature, found throughout the Mediterranean. Full of character, perfume and quality make this a Grillo of surprising refinement.
Colour: straw-coloured yellow with green hues
On the nose: well-defined and harmonious perfume of hay, mimosa and chamomile, alternating and weaving with notes of rennet apples, almonds, gooseberries, exotic fruit and herbs of the Mediterranean scrub
On the palate: decisive with a striking personality, in line with the aristocratic, life- giving characteristic of the grapes, robustness and composure provide impact, the fruit of a refined texture and appropriate acidic component
Characteristics: this wine is the proof of the soundness of an old saying: good things are rare, an example of how an important variety can be so versatile that is is transformed at one stroke into a complex, pleasing and lavish wine
Eat with: delightful with Acquerello rice with nettles, spaghetti and sea urchins, fried cod, monkfish au gratin, beccaficu sardines and perfect with sole alla mugnaia and oven-baked grouper fish.
