Tasting notes

An intense red, shot through with violet flashes make this an undisputedly refined Syrah, full-bodied and enveloping. Exceedingly pleasant on the nose because of its intense perfumes of strawberry, blackberry and cherry with notes of laurel, tobacco and green pepper on a bed of humus, mint and ink. Smooth with soft tannins and a silky grandeur.

Colour: shining, very intense ruby red, shot through with violet flashes
On the nose: delicate and perfumed aromas of strawberry, blackberry and cherry, embellished with intense notes of laurel; light-coloured tobacco and green pepper can be discerned, alternating with notes of humus, menthol and ink
On the palate: soft and full-bodied, Syrah is characterised by an agile and refined weft with a gentle but well integrated tannin component; fresh and dynamic, this wine decisively unfolds on the palate to reveal its unquestionable refinement
Characteristics: a soft and harmonious nectar of a wine, with a bright personality, the standard of exquisite elegance which makes it well-balanced and exceedingly pleasant to drink
To eat with: tasty lasagne al ragù, barbecued pork sausages, tuna steaks with almonds, oven-baked mutton, tripe and sauce, saltimbocca alla romana (sautéed slices of veal with ham and sage), salted cod with olives and capers. Syrah is also perfect with pungent, matured cheeses.
